A Win Is All We Want For Christmas
The Dario Gradi revival continues. Well, it’s hard to actually call it a revival, but four points from their last two games is definitely a step in the right direction. Crewe Alexandra played with much more confidence at Millwall on Saturday and were good value for the 0-0 draw.

Can United Out-scavenge Foxes?
The Gary McAllister era is over after a disappointing run of results which has seen United lose five games in a row across all competitions and slip to ninth in the table. It has been a very testing period and everyone is hoping Simon Grayson can provide a lift to get the promotion challenge back on track.
The United fans were absolutely incredible at Milton Keynes last weekend, but even their passionate support couldn’t help the side pick up a point.

The Alex Must Build On Victory
Everyone at Gresty Road must have forgotten what it was like to see an Alex win. The 13th September was the last time Crewe registered a league victory, however last Saturday they managed to scrape past Swindon with a 1-0 victory. It wasn’t a great footballing performance, but we’re going to need quite a few more gutsy wins if League Two football next season is to be avoided.

Will Santa Deliver A Win For Turner?
Another manager falls by the wayside – just weeks after Roy Keane’s departure from Wearside, Danny Wilson has now been shown the door at Victoria Park. A win is desperately needed and what better way than to start with three points against Southend on Friday night. Hartlepool fans will be hoping that Chris Turner can give the team the spark they need, especially considering Southend are only one place and one point above Pools in the table.

Huddersfield v Walsall
After two successive defeats, a win for Walsall was much needed against Swindon last weekend and Jimmy Mullen will be very pleased with the result if not the performance. United To Bounce Back Against Rovers
Gary McAllister will no doubt be wondering how to pick up his team after being on the receiving end of the biggest FA Cup upset of the season thus far. Six Pointer Set To Be Tight Affair
Crewe Alexandra haven’t won a league game since the home win against Colchester in September and are now three points adrift at the foot of the table and odds-on with the bookies to be relegated. They’ve picked up just three of the possible 36 points up for grabs in their last 12 league outings and are still on the look out for a permanent new manager.

Don’t Bank On The Alex To Win Six Pointer
The dreadful run of 11 games without a win is finally over and it looks as though Crewe Alexandra have rediscovered their winning ways – albeit by a solitary goal to a team plying their trade two divisions below them.

United To End Poor Away Run By Rocking Robins
Leeds United were much better against Walsall last weekend and registered a 3-0 victory. Unfortunately, United were beaten at Southend on Tuesday night, their third straight away league defeat. Gary McAllister will be concerned that his side’s early season strong form on the road has slipped in recent weeks and they must show more attacking verve away from Elland Road if they are going to clinch the title.

Saddlers Take On Cobblers
Walsall are now without a win in five league games and it may have been a slight relief that Tuesday’s game against Swindon was cancelled due to the bad weather. They were well and truly beaten at Leeds last weekend, despite going in level at the break. Worryingly, Jimmy Mullen’s side have lost their last two at the Banks’s and they must play Northampton Town today, whose game on Tuesday night also fell victim to the weather.
