Mikaël Silvestre signed for Arsenal for an undisclosed fee yesterday, becoming the first Manchester United player to be sold to the club in 34 years.

The 31-year-old joined United in 1999 and made 249 appearances. He scored six goals for the Red Devils and won four Premier League titles, one FA Cup, one League Cup and the UEFA Champions League.
