Champions League Draw: Reaction
We were hot on the trail of UEFA officials as they made the draw for the next round of Champions League games, which has thrown up some very interesting fixtures. It was drama from start to finish, as the names of some of Europe’s soccer giants were drawn, not to mention the fact that the Real Madrid officials and the Man Utd contingent were seated alongside each other! Like all Arsenal fans Arsene Wenger said he felt physically sick after Saturday’s defeat to Hull. “We had a disappointing result against Hull but I have been sitting on the bench long enough to know that if we’d played that match 100 times we’d lose it once,” he said. He has demanded Arsenal use tonight’s clash with Porto to demonstrate they are genuine Champions League contenders.
