Magic Marty Triumphs at Poker Million Final!
The final of one of poker’s most prestigious competitions came to a thrilling end on Friday night, when Marty Smyth rose from an almost non-existent chip stack, to take the well deserved $1,000,000 winner’s prize.
We would all like to congratulate Marty on one of the finest poker performances of recent times!
Here’s how they finished:
1st Marty Smyth ($1,000,000)
2nd Eoghan O’Dea ($250,000)
3rd Ciaran O’Leary ($175,000)
4th Liam Flood ($130,000)
5th Kevin Allen ($100,000)
6th Sven Petter Nielsen ($75,000)
Still Live At The IPO
We’re into the last day at the Boylepoker IPO and 135 hardened poker players are still in with a shout of taking down the main prize. An hour in and things are starting to get serious, with anybody still sitting at a table guaranteed to go home having made a profit over the weekend. We’ll be live blogging from the Regency Hotel in Dublin right up to the final hand over at Boylepokerblog.com, with video coverage, interviews and up-to-the minute news from the final day.

No commentsLive From The Boylepoker IPO
Instead of the usual Saturday afternoon activity of sitting on the sofa watching Jeff Stelling get over excited on Sky Sports I’ve relocated to plush surroundings of the Regency Hotel in Dublin for the Boylepoker International Poker Open. With 1,300 keen poker players in attendance from all around Europe, it’s been a busy, and successful, first day and a half for everyone involved. The tournament is running until Sunday and there’s still plenty of players in with a great shout of taking down the main prize. Unfortunately Boylepoker’s two sponsored pros, Marty Smyth and Padraig Parkinson, won’t be two of them. Marty and Padraig made (for them) an early exit from the IPO, but will still be around for the rest of the weekend mingling with the other players.
You can read all the latest action from the IPO over on Boylepokerblog.com, where we’ll be live blogging on all the weekend’s action as it happens.
